The Role:

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the accounting function for the UK business and support all financial reporting including intercompany balance reconciliations with our EU and US group. With UK manufacturing and global distribution, Equine America is managed from the head office in Horsham where there is outdoor space and a friendly face.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and oversee accounting department UK
  • Prepare, produce and understand profit-loss statements
  • Tax preparation
  • Manage and reconcile company accounts payable/receivable
  • Produce expense reports
  • Cost reduction research and create proposals
  • Deal with accountant queries via email, phone, or in-person
  • Budgets and forecasting activities
  • Monitor company accounts and conduct quarterly reviews
  • Prepare year end file for audit and dealing with queries
  • Present budgets and reports to upper management

Competencies:

  • ACCA Qualified or ACA part-qualified
  • Minimum 3-5 years in an accounting role
  • High computer literacy in Microsoft Office
  • Flexible
  • High emotional intelligence
