Page Personnel are partnering with a successful business based in Southampton who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their accountancy team on a 12 months fixed term contract.

Our client is a highly successful business based in the centre of Southampton. They do require travel to their offices but also offer an attractive hybrid model of working.
Description
As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Provide support for a full expense close on all month ends
- Provide Balance sheet reconciliations for areas as required and in a timely fashion
- Posting of journal entries required for expenses
- Assist with production of accounting and actuarial management information
- Assist in the generation, input and reconciliation of the financial results
- Assist with the inter company reporting process
- Support the preparation of monthly expense commentary and other qualitative requirements
- Assist with External Audit queries.

To be successful for the Assistant Management Accountant position, you must:
- Ability to engage and consult with senior colleagues
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a complex and changing environment
- Proactive approach to the resolution of problems and obstacles, escalating issues as required
- Ability to interrogate systems and understand the Expense Financial Data Model
- Advanced MS Excel skills
