Junior Privacy Advisor

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Doncaster, Nuneaton & Cowley)
Contract: Permanent, full time

About the Job

As Junior Privacy Advisor your role will be to provide support, advice, and training to the Unipart Group, its clients and suppliers with regard to the processing and safeguarding of personal data across the group. This includes assistance with incidents and responses.

As part of your key responsibilities you'll:

  • Support team members with their existing projects, regularly picking up new pieces of work to continue your development
  • Monitor the group mailbox for any Enquiries, Permission Requests, Share Requests, Data Incidents and work through the relevant response processes in order to triage or respond to each request/incident as necessary
  • Own the process of cataloguing new inbound work and help to assign this to the most appropriate member of the team
  • Assist the Data Protection Manager with workload management and resource allocation for the team
  • Provide support to the ongoing ROPA project, both assisting with the administration of the project and undertaking additional responsibilities in line with skills and experience.
  • Assist the team to progress the Data Mapping project, ensuring regular reporting is available to monitor progress against internal KPIs
  • Assist the team with general administrative tasks, such as file management and organisation

  • Experience in previous admin-related roles (or roles with admin responsibilities making up a large proportion)
  • Previous experience working in a data protection role, or in a role involving some data protection related responsibilities is a benefit, but not a requirement
