About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a strong commercial legal background within a public sector environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small, friendly team dedicated to delivering regeneration and economic development projects across North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will also provide legal advice to the newly formed York and North Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a variety of commercial contracts, development agreements, public sector grant agreements, and public sector procurements.
- Provide legal advice on procurement matters and subsidy control legislation.
- Contribute to project delivery within the public sector framework.
- Collaborate effectively with local government stakeholders and other teams.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.
- Demonstrable commercial legal experience within a public sector setting.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and relevant legislation.
- Experience with project delivery and an understanding of subsidy control legislation is desirable.
- Contract commercial specialization.
