Position: PPA and Intervention Teacher

Location: Camden. London

Start Date: September 2024

Contract Type: Full-Time - 8:00am - 4:30pm

M3 Payscale - NO ECT Teachers for this position.

You will play a vital part in supporting students' SEMH needs, helping them develop the skills and resilience needed to thrive both academically and personally. You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who share your commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PPA cover lessons across various subjects, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of education.
  • Implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers, SEN coordinators, and support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEMH challenges.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, encouraging their engagement, participation, and overall well-being.
  • Finally, monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - NO ECT teachers for this position
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.
  • Strong behaviour management is required for this role, and where possible experience from EYFS- KS2.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
