The Role:
As Senior Accounts Assistant you will primarily handle the day-to-day transactional duties and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial operations, contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of invoices
- Conduct regular reconciliations of supplier accounts to resolve any discrepancies
- Oversee credit control processes, including chasing outstanding payments and managing customer relationships to ensure timely collections
- Assist with month end and year end closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve administrative processes, enhancing overall efficiency
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
- Studying AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA would be is desirable
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
