Live in Couple Job in Hertfordshire

An experienced Couple required to look after a beautiful 25 acre estate on the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire border. It is a summer residence so only occupied by the principals for 3-4 months of the year.

The property consists of a Main house (12 bedroom, only 4-5 are occupied), staff cottage (2 bedrooms), an annex consisting of 2 flats and 2 external cottages.

The ideal Couple will be hardworking, respectful, have full discretion and respect for the privacy and confidentiality of the family. They should also have exceptional multi-tasking, leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Keeping the house clean and tidy
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Preparing daily 3 course meals when the principals are in residence
  • Running errands and grocery shopping
  • Driving duties and vehicle maintenance
  • Garden maintenance duties
  • Handle special requests and arrangements for events, guests, and family members
  • Cover all property management and day to day running of the estate
  • Manage multiple buildings maintenance and all to make sure that all systems are functioning correctly
  • Create and refine monthly, quarterly and fiscal year budgets in coordination with the family office and accountant.
  • Liaising and supervising contractors and tradespeople
  • Manage the household/estate operations and project specific purchasing, insurance
  • Overseeing maintenance, supervisory role.

Accommodation: 2 bedroom cottage on the estate. Pets will be considered.

Working days and hours:

  • In residence: flexibility to work on Saturday's and some Sunday's when needed if family is around. Working hours are usually from 8am-7pm only when the family is around.
  • Not in residence: Monday to Friday

Salary: £70,000 gross per annum
