We are currently seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to join the team at this exciting time of expansion.
PAY:
£37,354.29 + 17% shift allowance
Shifts: Initially mornings and afternoons, after training is completed this will return to a 3 shift pattern.
JOB OVERVIEW:
Elevation recruitment is looking for an experienced and skilled NDT Inspector for a key role at a Sheffield based aerospace business. The role will be reporting into the business unit manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review routers, procedures, specifications and any other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform the operation.
- Process parts in accordance with procedures and technical instructions.
- Set up, calibrate and perform process control checks on equipment by following instructions and record results.
- To generate new/amend NDT data cards for approval by the Level III.
- Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required.
- Fill out required logs and statistical data sheets as required.
- Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications etc)
- Maintain work area, equipment and all documents/records to be audit ready at all times.
- Provide on the job training to trainees and fellow level II inspectors when required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Aerospace industry experience
- Currently hold NAS410/EN4179 Level 2 FPI
- Must be skilled in dye penetrant testing
