Administration Assistant

This role has a starting salary of £15,997 per annum based on a 25 hour working week, 39 weeks a year.

This is a fixed term contract for the 2024-2025 academic year.

We are excited to be hiring for a new Administration Assistant to join our Cycle Training team based in Quadrant Court, Woking.

You will be part of the back office team, providing scheduling and administration support for cycle training courses that enable thousands of young people to improve their skills and safety.

We support hybrid working, meaning there is an opportunity for working remotely as well as coming in to the office to work with the rest of the team.

About the Team
The back office team comprises of 5 people who support the 80 Cycling Instructors who are out delivering cycle training.

Much of the team's work is centred around an online booking and administrative system schools and instructors log into it to log sessions and parents use it to enrol their children on to courses. The team liaises with schools and instructors and gives support directly to parents who have queries about their booking.

About the Role

The best way to showcase this role is to detail what a typical day in the life would look like. In the morning, your first job would be to check emails and messages that have arrived from school staff, instructors and parents. This is followed by checking administrative alerts on the online system. Then you will liaise with other team members to plan who takes on which tasks arising and how. We are a busy operational service and some of the tasks will need an immediate response, whilst others may need to be solved over a longer period. You need adaptability to help people with their specific needs.

The other side of the job will be to look ahead, monitoring up-take of scheduled courses, Instructor availability and potential spare capacity that could be used. You'll need to work with your colleagues to plan and share these tasks, too.
