Job Profile

We are looking for a driven, diligent and passionate Site Operations Manager for a unique opportunity to head up and lead an innovative manufacturing plant.

This is a critical role in helping the business achieve not only the production and sales targets safely and within budget, but also in contributing significantly to build upon the companies' years of success to improve the day-to-day operations not the least of which is compliance with regulatory standards.

Primary responsibilities

  • Implement and ensure compliance of all Health, Safety, Environmental and site-specific policies to safeguard the welfare of all personnel on site.
  • Manage relevant annual targets, budgets and forecasts to deliver on agreed production volumes within costs.
  • Maintain product quality standards, identifying and reacting to all non-conformances.
  • Manage the daily shift patterns for up to 70 employees and ensure effective day to day continuity of operations.
  • Handle all HR matters that may arise within ACAS and government guidelines.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for business improvement.

Skills / Experience required

  • A strong leader who is a real problem solver, unafraid of making tough decisions, with the ability to motivate and manage teams as well as individuals on a 1-on-1 basis.
  • Exemplary communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Strong ability to recruit and nurture talent and developing individuals within an organisation.
  • Proven and demonstrable experience in a similar role within manufacturing is essential.
  • Solid understanding of H&S procedures and legislation.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement to enhance business performance.
  • Experience in managing budgets with the ability to put in place and maintain full and rigorous financial controls.
  • Applications from ex-military leaders are strongly encouraged.
