Five Education is recruiting a support worker to assist a Year 1 boy with special needs. This role is part-time (Thursdays and Fridays) and starts the week beginning July 22nd. You will be responsible for supporting the child with fun daily activities, general supervision and providing companionship. From September onwards, you will be assisting the same child but in a classroom setting where you will help them with their learning activities and support them throughout the school day.

The boy does experience challenging behaviour so previous experience in supporting individuals with SEND and the ability to manage challenging behaviour is desirable. The right person for this role must be kind, compassionate, patient and resilient.

Essential Criteria:

  • Have an interest in supporting children/ young people
  • Right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
  • Relevant references and DBS/Police checks
  • Able to work Thursdays and Fridays every week
