Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide individualized support to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and succeed in their learning.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Help manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
We're Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience with children who have special educational needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Speech, Language & Communication needs.
- A compassionate and patient individual with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet the needs of students.
