Description
- As the 2nd Line IT Service Engineer, you will work as part of team providing expert end-user IT support, on a wide range of technologies, both remotely, and also within a hands-on capacity at the Birmingham HQ.
- Your role will be technical, so you will troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions, but also escalate through to the in-house 3rd Line function, which you will work closely with, where necessary.
- The technology environment is cutting-edge, and constantly evolving as the business really values IT in helping maintain it's position as a sector leader. As a result, you'll be working with the latest versions of Windows Server, Windows 10 applications, SCCM, Office365, and a range of bespoke applications, all within a modern ITIL environment, as well as being part of an ongoing cloud strategy via Azure.
- You will have the chance to get involved in regular hands-on work, whether that's building laptops for new starters, or covering areas such as on-site network cabling. This isn't a role where you'll be glued to the phone on a Service Desk, and you'll get the chance to regularly interact in-person with end-users.
- Progression is superb, as the company's entire IT function is in-house, so you'll get the chance to work closely with 3rd Line Engineers, with the opportunity to be fast-tracked into the Infrastructure space.
- Due to the on-site aspect of the role, we are looking for candidates who are locally-based, and able to commute regularly into the central Birmingham office 4 days per week, with the option of home working on Fridays.

Alongside exceptional communication skills to provide support to high-level professionals within a global Law firm, the successful candidate for the 2nd Line IT Service Engineer position, will have strong experience in the below areas.
