Senior Quality Practitioner (Medication Lead)
Location: Head Office, Stockport with extensive national travel

As a Senior Quality Practitioner (Medication Lead), you will play a crucial role in ensuring high standards of medication governance across national services. This newly developed position focuses on medication management, quality assurance, and compliance with CQC standards. You will work closely with the Quality team to support over 650 services, including Learning Disability, Mental Health, and Care Homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on medication good practice, auditing sites for compliance.
  • Support staffing teams to improve medication practices and develop training materials.
  • Ensure alignment with NICE guidelines and national policy changes.
  • Champion health and wellbeing good practices and campaigns such as STOMP (Stopping Over Medication).
  • Engage with service users to ensure their involvement in their own care and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans and contribute to social care governance processes.

Requirements:

  • Senior Practitioner and/or management experience in social care, preferably with qualifications such as RGN, RMN, RNLD, Social Work, or DipOT.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, self-motivated attitude.
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports, engage with service users, and drive quality improvement.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including participation in an out-of-hours duty rota.
