Financial Modeller

We are seeking an experienced Financial Modeller to join our client who operate within the transport & infrastructure sector. This role is pivotal in supporting internal teams and business development for strategic tenders and M&A projects. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, including finance, business development, legal, and structured finance, to produce and maintain complex financial models and provide detailed financial analysis.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic tenders and M&A projects.
- Conduct detailed bottom-up builds of the business to provide accurate financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to gather necessary data and insights for model accuracy.
- Provide scenario analysis and advise on financial risks, opportunities, and impacts of business strategies.
- Present complex financial information to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
- Support the enhancement of the financial modelling framework and best practices implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; CFA/CPA or equivalent is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial modelling and analysis, preferably within the transport sector.
- Ideally trained as an Accountant within Big Four.
- Demonstrated expertise in M&A, corporate finance, and capital markets.
- Experience within bidding will be highly regarded.
- Exceptional Excel and financial modelling tool skills; VBA or Python programming knowledge is a plus.
- Proven project management abilities in high-stakes, dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Capable of supporting ad hoc finance projects as needed.
