Role: Azure Data Migration Consultant(Blob Storage to CosmosDB)

Location: Reading/Remote(Occasional Travel required)

Type: 6 months Initially

Current focus in the team is the re-write of the back end of an existing application to make the application more stable, supportable and scalable. We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Migration Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating data within Azure, from blob storage to a Cosmos DB solution.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, as well as a strong understanding of data migration best practices, including data reconciliation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with project team to understand the data migration and reconciliation requirements and to develop data migration plans
  • Design and implement data migration solutions using Azure Data Factory and associated Azure technologies
  • Perform data migration trials and troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues
  • Develop and execute reconciliation tests/reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful data migration and integration with existing systems
  • Document data migration processes and procedures

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would need you to have:

  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, with a focus on Azure cloud-based solutions
  • Strong understanding of data migration best practices and methodologies
  • Experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Migration Service, and Azure Cosmos Database
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
