Remuneration: £60,000 - £70,000

The role of the Technical Manager - Passive Fire Protection Products will involve:
- Technical Manager position dealing with a high quality range of passive fire protection / fire resistant products
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients, internal sales and specification teams
- Dealing with architects, installers, authorities, contractors, clients, and fire departments
- Work closely with various 3rd party testing and assessment teams such as Kiwa/IFC, WarringtonFire/Exova, BRE, UKTC etc
- Carry out site surveys to assess client needs and what products would benefit their projects
- Review drawings and requirements and assist with the production of specifications
- Writing reports on installed products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Providing training on all products to architects, installers, contractors, & dealerships
- Down the line will be tasked to recruit a team of Technical Surveyors
The ideal applicant will be a Training & Installation Technician - Fire Protection Products with:
- Must have extensive technical experience within the passive fire protection market sector
- Time served (ideally 10 years) as a Surveyor, Project Manager, Installer or within a passive fire governing body (Kiwa/IFC, WarringtonFire/Exova, BRE, UKTC)
- Strong technical understanding of active and passive fire protection systems for example: drylining, boarding, cavity barriers, thermal protection, plasterboards, insulation, partition systems, panel wall systems, fire resistant panels, insulation, blockwork walls, durasteel and acoustics
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Confident individual comfortable with presenting to groups
- High levels of organisation and attention to detail
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Full UK driving license
