We are currently seeking a dedicated Teacher for a full time teaching position in our small and wonderful class. The ideal Primary Teacher will possess the following qualities:
Demonstrate a love and commitment to engaging every student actively in the learning process, making learning come alive! Display adaptability and flexibility in teaching style, effectively catering to a diverse range of student learning needs. Foster clear and effective communication, building strong relationships with fellow educators and establishing a trusting and insightful rapport with students. Emotional intelligence is paramount in educational interactions! Exhibit composure, patience, and empathy, recognising that classrooms can sometimes be overwhelming environments. The ability to take a deep breath and respond appropriately is vital, both in managing emotions and diffusing challenging situations.
As the position is a teaching role, a successful candidate must hold QTS. For longer term roles the rate of pay will be discussed at the interview stage. Please be aware that as this is a longer role, in order to ensure candidate suitability the school may require an observation or an interview to be undertaken as part of the application process. Key responsibilities:
- Planning work as appropriate guided by the school (if in a longer term position) ? Deliver day to day planning set or guided by the school to deliver effective lessons.. (if on short term placement.)
- Upholding the schools ethos and values.
- Familiarising yourself with behaviour management systems and policies, ensuring that these are put in place.
- Marking work that is completed during the day.
- Maintaining up to date records of students progress and attainment.
- Upholding the schools ethos and values.
- Ensuring your availability for work is kept up to date.
Please not that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (PGCE, QTS etc..)
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework and curriculum
- Classroom experience.
- Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
Desired:
- DBS on the update system. Randstad is committed to the safety of young children; therefore all posts will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. If your DBS is not on the update service we can assist you with this.
