£36,000 - £39,375 DOE

Hours:

Monday to Friday on a 2 week shift rotation of 6am – 2pm and 2pm - 10pm

Position Purpose

The Engineering Technician ensures the smooth operation of production equipment through planned maintenance, corrective repairs, and continuous process improvements. This role requires GMP experience and preferably, pharmaceutical industry experience. The ideal candidate will have tangible experience in a GMP environment, be a critical thinker, solution-focused, and detail-oriented. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. A readiness to face new challenges and grow in the engineering field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Operate on shift work adhering to GMP guidelines and safety standards.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of equipment to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
  • Maintain seamless operation of all equipment and auxiliary systems.
  • Investigate equipment failures and support activities to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records (both electronic and paper) in compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Support and safely execute maintenance activities including Permits to Work, Risk Assessments, Incident Reporting, Safe Work Practices, and COSHH
  • Embrace cutting-edge technology and grow alongside a team of experts.
  • Contribute to advancing world-class treatments and therapies for animal health.
  • Potential for additional duties and skill development within the scope of the role.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience in an Engineering Technician role or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in a GMP environment.
  • Understanding of maintenance systems and engineering procedures.
  • Desirable, but not essential, pharmaceutical experience.
  • Proficient in computer use (email, MS Applications, etc.).

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of C&G, HNC, HND in Engineering Discipline.
  • Strong written, numeracy, and verbal communication skills.
