Role: Environmental Advisor
Company: Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor
Location: Water Orton, Birmingham
Day rate: £400 - £450 PAYE
Project: HS2
Randstad is currently looking for an Environmental Advisor to work with a well-established Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor on HS2 in Water Orton, Birmingham.
Responsibilities:
- Advising Construction teams on environmental issues
- Be familiar with the conditions of contract, as they relate to environmental issues.
- Report on the sites environmental performance against the Projects objectives and targets.
- Understand the financial implications of decisions affecting environmental issues and seek to ensure best financial outcome for business.
- Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Senior Management.
Experience & Qualities:
- Good understanding of environmental legislation and principles of environmental management systems.
- Determination to see tasks through to completion, along with excellent planning and organisation skills.
Desirable:
- Member of an environmental professional body
- Good understanding and experience of environmental issues in a work environment.
