We are seeking a skilled CNC Grinder to join our clients hardworking team. Reporting to the Tool Room Manager, you will be an integral part of our production process, using various grinding machines to support the business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in engineering and experience with mould tools.
Day to Day of the role:
- Programming, setting, and operating cylindrical and surface grinding machines.
- Conducting tool repair and maintenance.
- Manufacturing tooling for compression and injection moulding to high tolerances.
- Engaging in continuous improvement activities within the tool room.
- Managing the supply of consumables and maintaining inventory.
- Working independently to interpret engineering drawings and solve engineering problems.
- Adapting to shifting priorities and maintaining flexibility to meet production timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Completed apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with mould tools and assembly.
- Proficiency in operating cylindrical and surface grinding machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Precision in working to high tolerances.
Desirable but not essential:
- HNC in Mechanical and General Engineering.
- Significant experience in a tool room environment.

Shift Times:
- 37-hour working week (Mon-Fri).
- 2 x shift rotation (Early & Lates).
- Early Shift: 06:05-14:35 (Mon-Thurs), 06:05-11:05 (Fri).
- Late Shift: 14:25-22:55 (Mon-Thurs), 10:55-15:55 (Fri).
