Location: Bracknell, Berkshire

Salary: £29,000 - £35,000 per annum

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Paint Shop Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each product item is painted in a timely manner, to schedule as directed by the Finishing Production Manager.
  • Ensure that all Production Extras and Additional Materials(Special Loose) items are painted to schedule.
  • Ensure the high levels of product quality are maintained, including recording the paint thickness & each paint process is carried out in line with the set specification.
  • Organising items ready for painting, ensuring items for painting are ordered in a manner to assist the painting method i.e. items stapled for flow coat and ordered by when it is needed and type.
  • Ensure the schedule is up to date for the paint department i.e. the schedule reflects exactly where each item is in its process.
  • Manage the Paint Shop staff so that they are deployed to get the best output out of the department.
  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness is kept at all times within the Paint Shop.
  • Ensure the Paint Shop is well organised and tidy, with everything having a place and stored in appropriate fashion.
  • Ensure that all paint is stored appropriately, including the IBC's being stirred and heated as required.
  • To observe Health and Safety rules and be observant to possible hazards within the work place.
  • Manage the distribution of work to either any of the Cefla line, manual spray line and hand painting, ensuring the appropriate method is selected for efficient timely painting.
  • Ensure paint stock levels are maintained and that all non-stock paint requirements are communicated.
  • Working on the Cefla line, manual spray or hand painting as and when required.
  • Help train and develop Paint Shop staff.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
