Vehicle Service & Repair Workshop Controller who has excellent organisational, time-management and customer service skills is required to coordinate Vehicle Technicians carrying out repairs and servicing to customers vehicles for a well-established, leading car dealership inChipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire, South West England.

SALARY: £30,000 per annum + Bonuses + Benefits (see below)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday 8am - 1pm

Working as the Vehicle Service & Repair Workshop Controller you will be the key figure in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop / garage.

As the Vehicle Service & Repair Workshop Controller your primary responsibilities will include coordinating daily activities, managing a team of skilled Vehicle Technicians, and maintaining high standards of customer service and organisation.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Vehicle Service & Repair Workshop Controller include:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop
  • Allocate work to Vehicle Technicians, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks
  • Monitor the progress of repairs and services, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards
  • Maintain excellent customer service, addressing any queries or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Ensure all workshop equipment is maintained and in good working order
  • Manage stock levels and order parts and supplies as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including job cards and service documentation
  • Liaise with customers to provide updates on the status of their vehicles and any additional work required
  • Implement and uphold health and safety regulations within the workshop

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a vehicle service and repair environment
  • Excellent coordination, customer service, and organisational skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a team of technicians
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle repairs and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to the role
