Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking passionate and experienced Qualified Adults Social Workers to join our dynamic team. We are dedicated to supporting adults and carers with acute or increasingly complex long-term physical and mental health needs, as well as older people. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our community members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of health and social care functions for adults and carers in Wirral.
- Play a vital role in delivering the Personalisation and Inclusion Pathways, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014.
- Apply strength and asset-based practice, personalization, and social inclusion in all aspects of your work.
- Assess, access, and implement a range of social care services, providing guidance, advice, and information to adults with complex needs and their carers.
- Provide supervision and practice support to newly qualified social workers and Care Navigators within the service.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in adult social care.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and its application in social work practice.
- Experience working with individuals with complex physical health, mental health needs, and older adults.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and provide supervision to less experienced colleagues.
