Job Description: Commercial Finance Operations Manager

Location: Warrington

Salary: £45-55k DOE plus a bonus

About The Company: The company, leveraging advanced technology to offer a comprehensive range of financial products, including Bridging Loans, Commercial Mortgages, and Buy-to-Let Mortgages. We also provide end-to-end support for customers in setting up limited companies, opening bank accounts, and managing their year-end accounts. As part of a fully funded project within an already successful group of companies, we are gearing up for an exciting launch of a brokerage in January 2025.

Position Overview: We are looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced Commercial Finance Operations Manager to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in setting up the operational framework, establishing processes and procedures, and ensuring we are ready to go live by January 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lending and experience of dealing with lenders, combined with a passion for taking ownership of new ventures.

This role is working under the guidance of the Group MD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the setup and management of daily operations for the commercial finance department.
  • Develop, implement, and refine efficient operational procedures and controls.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Initial Setup and Launch:
  • Lead the initial setup of operational frameworks and processes.
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless launch.
  • Establish best practices for integrating technology and operational systems.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance operations team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Technology Integration:
  • Work closely with the IT department to implement and optimise financial technology solutions.
  • Stay updated on fintech advancements and incorporate relevant technologies into operations.
  • Product and Service Management:
  • Manage the lifecycle of financial products, including Bridging Loans, Commercial Mortgages, and Buy-to-Let Mortgages.
  • Oversee additional services such as company setup, bank account opening, and year-end accounts management.
  • Ensure all products and services are competitive, compliant, and meet client needs.
  • Client Service:
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Address client inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records for all financial transactions and services.
  • Lender Relationships:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial lenders.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions to benefit our clients and company.
  • Stay informed about market trends and lender policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in finance operations management, preferably within commercial lending or a financial brokerage.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, including Bridging Loans, Commercial Mortgages, and Buy-to-Let Mortgages.
  • Experience in setting up and managing operational frameworks in a startup or new project environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial industry.
