Laboratory Hygiene Assistant

Kenton Black are partnered with Laboratory based in Wolverhampton who are recruiting for Laboratory Hygiene Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for the laboratory. You will be responsible for ensuring that all floors are kept free of debris and are cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis. The role involves diligent upkeep of hygiene supplies, including the replenishment of soaps, sanitisers, paper rolls, and anti-contamination mats. The responsibilities of a Laboratory Cleaner are:

  • Conduct regular cleaning and disinfecting of all laboratory floor areas to ensure a contamination-free environment.
  • Perform daily removal of waste materials from the laboratory, ensuring proper disposal according to safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of internal waste bins and the overall waste management system within the laboratory.
  • Report any observed contamination, spillage, or hazardous waste to the appropriate supervisor or safety personnel promptly.
  • Follow all laboratory safety protocols and procedures related to hygiene, waste management, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Our Laboratory Cleaners should have:

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including their safe handling and storage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously with other team members.
