Sellick partnership is currently assisting with the recruitment of a Building Surveyor for a large and extremely reputable organisation based in Tees Valley.

The Building surveyor will join the Major Structural Defects team covering a variety of surveying tasks responsible for both structural and fire damage works, as well as supporting on damp and mould.

The client are considering both temporary and permanent Building Surveyors for this role.

Duties of the Building Surveyor:

  • Work in the MSD team (major structural defects) looking after both structural and fire damage works, as well as supporting on damp and mould
  • Undertake pre and post inspection surveys in line with survey demands, including tenants' alterations, in line with programme requirements and operating plans
  • Undertake building surveys and produce good quality written technical reports along with detailed drawings
  • Ad-hoc surveys as and when requested by other internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare detailed specifications and drawings relating to identified works, including the preparation of building regulation and planning applications, as well as ensuring compliance with CDM regulations 2015
  • Carry out surveys relating to Party Wall issues and advise stakeholders
  • Undertake clerk of works duties and quality audits when required in line with demand
  • Flexible approach to hours worked, coupled with the commitment to see projects through to completion
  • Provide technical advice Group-wide in relation to all aspects relating to building surveying and pathology

Requirements of the Building Surveyor:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Building Surveying
  • Demonstratable experience working within a similar role looking after the MSD works
  • Full UK drivers license and access to vehicle with business insurance
