  • Delivering projects and, due to an increased workload, an opportunity has been created for an ambitious Graduate Structural Engineer.
  • You will join the busy design team where your progress will be overseen by a more senior engineer. Excellent training and technical support is on offer as well as a competitive starting salary,
  • Candidates should hold an MEng in either Civil or Structural Engineering, with the ambition of building on your academic success.
  • You will have a strong desire to succeed an expand your knowledge of buildings structures design in a range of materials.

Following ongoing support and training, you will be involved in the following duties:

  • Preparation of reports, calculations, design and preparation of drawings
  • Provide technical advice to clients
  • Obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval
  • Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
  • Liaising with other professionals such as architects
  • Maintaining client relationships by providing excellent customer service and managing expectations
  • Administering contracts and managing projects
  • Inspection and surveys of client properties and sites.
  • Ensuring that all projects comply with legal requirements including CDM2015, Part wall, Listed buildings
  • Assessment of sustainability and environmental impact of projects
  • At all times to comply with the requirements of the Company's administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulations

Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Must hold a BSc (Hons) and/or MSc (Hons) GMIstructE
  • Experience in working to deadlines and within budgets
  • Sound IT skills
  • The ability to think methodically to problem solve and manage projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some knowledge of relevant legislation
