Job Purpose:
The ideal candidate will be managing current technology systems, and must be a strategic thinker, ready to anticipate and implement the next wave of technological advancements. As IT Manager it will be your responsibility to improve efficiency, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure our IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and future-ready whilst possessing the ability to think strategically and manage long-term projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide all IT requirements for Head Office and satellite offices including initial set up of all IT
- Proactively provide information to users on outstanding tickets and reported issues
- Hardware repairs
- Maintaining phone system
- Maintaining and auditing of in-house servers
- Stock management of all IT equipment
- Providing training on good practice to employees
- Setting up new users and assigning appropriate permissions
- Maintaining logs on all equipment issued by the company
- Maintaining and auditing email and file archive system
You must have a proven track record in design, managing and troubleshooting with the following:
- Hyper-V 2016 onwards including replication
- MS Windows server 2012 onwards and AD
- MS Exchange Server 2016 / 2019 (On Premises)
- Firewall configuration
- Linux Server including CLI
- Avaya IP Office and VOIP technology
- Microsoft Windows
- Sage Accounts and HR
- Apple MacOS and IOS devices
In addition, you must have a solid understanding of:
LAN / WAN and VPN technologies connecting multiple sites
- Network Security, Anti-virus, and Spam management
- Database technologies including SQL
- Backup and CDR technologies
- Web technologies and security (this does not include Web Design)
Person Spec:
- Candidates will be well-presented and self-motivated.
- A full, clean driving licence is essential.
