6-month Fixed Term Contract

£40k per annum

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our award-winning client in Kendal. This role is pivotal in planning and delivering projects across the organisation, supporting business and departmental change initiatives. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of deliverables spanning services, systems and technologies.

The position is a customer facing role requiring strong communication and organisation skills, coordinating multiple activities and workstreams from idea creation through to service deployment. The role involves planning deliverables, tracking and communicating progress, handling risks and issues and developing collaboration across a varied stakeholder base.

Additionally, the role has responsibility for accurately maintaining important administration activities such as project documentation and department finances in line with company budgets.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the planning, implementation, and communication of varied change initiatives.
  • Engage in collaborative teamwork, setting clear targets, expectations, and providing regular communications and feedback to stakeholders.
  • Drive change projects.
  • Ensure the organisation adheres to necessary regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Conduct audits, reviews, compliance & health checks on all areas of the projects, administration, and portfolio management.
  • Monitor and record day-to-day spend and budget, contributing to ongoing budget planning.
  • Maintain project documentation in line with company requirements.
  • Prepare materials to communicate project status, progress, risks, issues, and metrics to key stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Contribute to control initiatives, including contract, procurement, and budget management, risk and issue management, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in project planning and delivery.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience coordinating projects, improvement initiatives, and change control.
  • Ability to scope projects, elicit and prioritise data and information.
  • Understanding of Project Management principles.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple activities concurrently.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Experience in maintaining documentation and managing budgets and investments.

Desirable:

  • Degree level qualifications or equivalent.
  • Industry-recognised qualifications (e.g., AGILE, PRINCE2, ITIL).
  • Experience dealing with sensitive information.
