SAP Cost Analyst

A world-class, global manufacturing company are seeking a new team member with SAP and Excel experience to join their team in Nottingham as an SAP Cost Analyst. This is a great career position where you will have the opportunity to work on technical products used in multiple industries.

As an SAP Cost Analyst, you will collaborate with two other SAP Cost Analysts and assist them in accurately creating and maintaining product and material profiles in SAP for the manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for generating detailed product cost estimates on a daily basis and maintaining the ERP master data to support the sales department.

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a technical or detailed manufacturing-based role, such as quality control, production planning, data analysis, and has experience with both SAP and Excel. Ability to read drawings for basic information such as dimensions, tolerances, materials etc is required and hold the knowledge on how to use that data for costing purposes.

  • Salary of c£30 - £32k
  • Hybrid working - approximately 50/50 office to home and flexible start times in the office
  • Annual Bonus Scheme (up to 5%)

Key responsibilities of the SAP Cost Analyst

  • Develop and maintain SAP Material Data, manufacturing routings, and BOMs
  • Assist with developing manufacturing routings, equipment, and detailed manufacturing instructions to product specifications
  • Analyse manufacturing process documents and data to determine accurate manufacturing methods, including inspection and tolerances
  • Create detailed product cost estimates and quotations within set time targets to support the sales department
  • Initiate new tooling requests where required
  • Review manufacturing-related Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and other change requests to ensure accurate data maintenance

Qualifications and skills required

  • Good knowledge of manufactured products, covering manufacturing specifications, equipment, process flow routings, BOMs, and manufacturing rates/costs for products
  • Experience using SAP and MS Office programs, mainly Excel
  • Ability to read manufacturing process documents, drawings, and technical data
