Quality and Compliance Manager

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure supplier and product performance by developing, implementing, and managing supplier quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • A secondary responsibility is to establish, manage, and oversee supply chain compliance, as well as safety, health, environmental, and sustainability initiatives.

Description

  • Evaluate existing and new suppliers through self-assessments, surveys, and audits.
  • Collaborate with the outsourced supply chain to define quality control and assurance documentation, ensuring the quality of finished goods and components. This includes managing product retains, the product release process, and developing Quality Assurance Specifications (QAS).
  • Conduct supply chain mapping to identify sustainability challenges and opportunities.
  • Address sustainability policies and issues, such as waste management, plastic tax, and SEDEX compliance.
  • Ensure supply chain regulatory compliance, including Modern Slavery, REACH, commodity codes, customs regulations, and Importer of Record requirements.
  • Develop business resilience and disaster recovery policies and systems, including processes for product issues and recalls.
  • Manage customer complaints, RMAs, and non-conformance reports.
  • Maintain product attributes on the Global Data Sheet and associated reporting tools, such as MSDS, product specifications, and DIMS.
  • Oversee the development and administration of office health and safety requirements.
  • Lead the development of current and future environmental systems and requirements.

  • Expertise in outsourced manufacturing/fillers with a focus on problem-solving.
  • .Experience in a fast-paced business growth and development environment is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and US-based colleagues.
  • Familiarity with, or ideally experience in, developing systems that comply with certification standards such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22716:2007, and BRC Consumer Products/Food.
