Assistant Accountant

Sewell Wallis are representing one of our clients, who are based on the outskirts of York, to appoint an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

As a member of the team is leaving due to relocation, it would be beneficial for the successful person to be immediately available or available on short notice, so that they're able to commence the handover process ASAP.

To be considered you must have good working knowledge of transactional accounting, experience of managing the month and year end process and be ACCA or CIMA part-qualified.

This opportunity would be brilliant for a bright, forward-thinking and adaptable individual who is eager to find a role that involves working with like-minded individuals. The team has a close-knit and family feel to it and they're really looking forward to welcoming a driven and eager addition!

Your key responsibilities will include:-

  • Managing sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll duties
  • Financial reporting
  • Assisting with the monthly management accounts process
  • Sole responsibility of budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Being a key contact to internal and external audit teams
