Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Strategic Change Office within the Directorate of Planning. This role is key to delivering our ambitious strategic projects on time and within budget, contributing to our vision of global recognition for excellence in people, research, learning, innovation, and societal impact.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Define and plan projects, including resource estimation, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Ensure projects align with our strategic goals.
- Support the implementation of a robust project management approach and provide recommendations to governance bodies.
- Act as a deputy for senior managers and peers as needed.
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including planning, risk management, progress tracking, and benefits realisation.
- Manage project teams, resources, and budgets.
- Implement governance structures and provide regular status reports.
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication and satisfaction.
- Lead and develop project team members, ensuring effective performance management and professional development.
- Support team recruitment, succession planning, and capacity management.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity, support, and well-being.
- Foster collaboration within the business and with external partners.
- Contribute to the establishment of a Project Management Community of Practice.
- Carry out additional duties as required.
Project Manager Essential Requirements:
- Experience in project and change management.
- Relevant qualifications (PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMQ, or equivalent).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse complex problems and implement effective solutions.
- Experience managing resources and budgets in a project environment.

Experience Required:
- Proven track record in delivering projects within a complex governance framework.
- Experience in stakeholder management and providing reports to governance bodies.
- Demonstrated ability in setting up project structures, processes, and tools.
- Experience in developing and managing project teams.
