Base Location: Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: £26,200 - £39,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

SSEN Transmission is currently recruiting for a Trainee Planning Engineer to support the Eastern Green Link 3 project. You will be supported by a structured development plan so that you can become an expert in project planning, having the ability to produce programmes from first principles.

This role involves the following:

  • Support of planning and scheduling services across all work packages of the Eastern Green Link 3 Project.
  • Work closely with your colleagues in various departments to ensure all required elements are captured and being carried out effectively.
  • Attending progress meetings and producing progress reports for various stakeholders.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting of progress for the projects.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • A qualification in a relevant discipline such as construction management, engineering, project management, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable understanding of SSE's business areas, the Energy industry, with knowledge of the SSEN Transmission business being desirable.
  • Awareness of standard planning best practices and processes (training in our standard planning software Primavera P6 will be provided as part of your development plan).
  • Proficient and comfortable challenging information through project / management meetings.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders and excellent organisational and IT skills.
