SSEN Transmission is currently recruiting for a Trainee Planning Engineer to support the Eastern Green Link 3 project. You will be supported by a structured development plan so that you can become an expert in project planning, having the ability to produce programmes from first principles.
This role involves the following:
- Support of planning and scheduling services across all work packages of the Eastern Green Link 3 Project.
- Work closely with your colleagues in various departments to ensure all required elements are captured and being carried out effectively.
- Attending progress meetings and producing progress reports for various stakeholders.
- Assist with weekly and monthly reporting of progress for the projects.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A qualification in a relevant discipline such as construction management, engineering, project management, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable understanding of SSE's business areas, the Energy industry, with knowledge of the SSEN Transmission business being desirable.
- Awareness of standard planning best practices and processes (training in our standard planning software Primavera P6 will be provided as part of your development plan).
- Proficient and comfortable challenging information through project / management meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders and excellent organisational and IT skills.
