Paint Lead Engineer
Location: Coventry / Castle Brom
Contract Pay Rate: £35.00 - £40.00 Umbrella PAYE Inside IR35
This Paint Lead Engineer role will be joining a specialist department for a very well renowned automotive brand, looking at bespoke and custom pallet colours that can be challenging to deliver for their customers.
Paint Lead Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support PDL responses identifying any costs required for the launch of a vehicle
- Support the transition to of the paint facility from one site to another,
- Responsible for coaching and developing team members to ensure they are able to do their job effectively delivering objectives and targets in line with scorecard metrics
- Lead the planning/implementation for all commissioning for MY and LE colours
- Support resource planning for the paint department
- Attend and represent Paint at programme meetings at all levels and present where applicable.
- Manage the design, procurement and installation of all tooling, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing including supplier selection and vendor management.
- Manage Paint technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
- Support Paint capacity planning.
- Ensuring of Health & Safety including CDM control and implementation
