Key Stages: Teaching up to KS4, desirable if able to teach up to A Level
Duration: Maternity Cover

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our well-established secondary school in St Albans from January 2024. This is a maternity cover position, offering flexibility with either a day rate or a fixed-term contract (FTC).

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Science lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Desirable: Ability to teach A-Level Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Plan and prepare schemes of work, assessments, and lesson materials
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student achievement and development
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to deliver a high standard of education

**Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Desirable: Experience teaching A-Level Science
  • Passionate about inspiring young learners and promoting academic success
