An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant at Manager level to join my clients internal finance function on a 12 month fixed-term contract. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including monthly management accounts journals, firm-wide overheads, core function reporting, balance sheet reporting, and ad-hoc projects/reporting. This position offers strong professional development opportunities, with the successful candidate playing a crucial role in advancing the management accounts function of the firm and supporting the development of junior team members.
Day to Day of the role:
- Manage, coach, and develop junior colleagues within the team, fostering their professional growth.
- Lead in managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and documenting processes and controls.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records, producing meaningful and insightful management information.
- Challenge and improve existing processes to ensure robustness, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Undertake specific related projects as agreed upon.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the firm's internal finance reporting systems and methodologies.
- Promote collaboration within the finance function, ensuring best practice is shared and adopted.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification.
- Proficiency in IT with strong MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with the ability to show initiative.
- Ability to work collaboratively and produce solutions to problems.
- Passionate about achieving goals and meeting high expectations.
- Capable of working under pressure and managing high and varied workloads.
