IT Manager - Central London (4 days on site / 1 day WFH)
Up to £70,000 PA
A leading construction engineering business is seeking an IT Manager to join them on a permanent basis. They are a well-established business about to enter considerable operational change making it an exciting time to join and be a part of their journey.
Reporting directly into the Head of IT, you'll oversee the overall IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the IT Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Operations
- Report security threats, IT risks, and capacity issues
- Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure effective management of infrastructure services
- Supervise the deployment, development, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance across all environments
- Lead projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
- Develop and monitor processes to ensure quality and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in IT operations
- Oversee hardware procurement and maintenance
- Advise on IT equipment and connectivity needs
- Coordinate IT budgeting with financial teams
- Administer Active Directory and manage user access rights
- Maintain email and cloud security (Azure, Office365)
- Implement security awareness and incident management practices
- Oversee cyber security management and collaborate with security providers
- Manage Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, and mobile device management policies
- Regularly review endpoint protection and Secure Web Gateway policies
- Optimise IT Service Desk operations and maintain IT documentation and inventory
- Manage onboarding/offboarding processes
- Liaise with vendors and resolve complex system issues
Requirements:
- Ideally have previous experience working within an IT management/team lead role
- Expertise in Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure
- Expertise with ServiceNow
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, technical management, and support
- Project management skills and experience
- Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, cyber security, and network systems
