IT Manager - Central London (4 days on site / 1 day WFH)

Up to £70,000 PA

A leading construction engineering business is seeking an IT Manager to join them on a permanent basis. They are a well-established business about to enter considerable operational change making it an exciting time to join and be a part of their journey.

Reporting directly into the Head of IT, you'll oversee the overall IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the IT Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Operations
  • Report security threats, IT risks, and capacity issues
  • Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure effective management of infrastructure services
  • Supervise the deployment, development, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance across all environments
  • Lead projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
  • Develop and monitor processes to ensure quality and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT operations
  • Oversee hardware procurement and maintenance
  • Advise on IT equipment and connectivity needs
  • Coordinate IT budgeting with financial teams
  • Administer Active Directory and manage user access rights
  • Maintain email and cloud security (Azure, Office365)
  • Implement security awareness and incident management practices
  • Oversee cyber security management and collaborate with security providers
  • Manage Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, and mobile device management policies
  • Regularly review endpoint protection and Secure Web Gateway policies
  • Optimise IT Service Desk operations and maintain IT documentation and inventory
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Liaise with vendors and resolve complex system issues

Requirements:

  • Ideally have previous experience working within an IT management/team lead role
  • Expertise in Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure
  • Expertise with ServiceNow
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, technical management, and support
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, cyber security, and network systems
