Project Managers

Reed Property and Construction are delighted to be working with a major client who are looking for a client-side Project Manager to lead on two large upcoming developments.

In this role you will take the lead in the delivery on an NEC or JCT contract p as the client nominated project manager able to understand the administration of the contract and lead the project and Main Contractor to successful delivery.

Projects are near Birmingham, Bristol and there is a requirement to work one day in Manchester the successful candidate will need to travel.

Duties include:

  • Ensure that projects are effectively managed in accordance with business objectives and scheme approval and accurately reflect costs, income, funding, programme and quality requirements to optimise the benefit to the Group and contribute to its core business.
  • Use Pamwin and/or other appraisal software to appraise and monitor the financial performance of projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Local Authorities, Developer Partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage the relationships with Solicitors, Consultants and Contractors/Developers appointed throughout the development process.
  • Effectively manage, monitor and control project budgets and ensure that programmes are delivered to time
  • Undertake project / construction management duties on projects within agreed time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Manage projects to ensure that the quality of building construction meets our requirements.
  • Proactively manage projects to meet internal and external delivery targets and monitor and manage project delivery risks to ensure that agreed outcomes are maintained.
  • Take the lead and champion H&S / ZIP with our appointed Contractors/Developers and ensure they are achieving and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety on site

For this role candidates will be Project Managers with tiers 1 or 2 experience ideally having delivered large projects with Apartment experience. You will have thorough knowledge of the development and construction process from inception and feasibility through to completion, handover and operation. You will be able demonstrate a detailed and complete understanding of contract obligations which is complemented with a good working knowledge and experience of contract administration, including interim payments, design management, change control, quality management and final certification.
