Residential Paralegal
Location: Surrey, UK Type: Full-Time
About Us: We are a dynamic law firm in Surrey, looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Residential Paralegal to join our conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will be involved in a variety of transactions and will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in a range of property transactions including sales, purchases, freehold/leasehold matters, transfers of equity, re-mortgages, Help to Buy, Shared Ownership, and New Builds.
- Conduct file opening procedures, including client matter inception and carrying out necessary ID/AML checks.
- Issue initial engagement paperwork and provide comprehensive advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
- Prepare and issue legal draft contracts at the start of transactions.
- Order property searches and assist with responding to client enquiries.
- Lead communications with clients and mortgage lenders to facilitate the progression of property sales and purchases.
- Manage the exchange of contracts and prepare completion documents, including client bills and statements.
- Maintain case documentation with the utmost security for optimized client confidentiality.
- Manage your own caseload of management files, in addition to assisting fee earners with their files.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Residential Paralegal.
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
