We are working with Top 50 firms in North London, Hertfordshire, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, and Bicester - all of whom are looking for Senior Auditors. To be considered, you must live local to these areas or be prepared to relocate to the area.

Joining these firms will provide you with the chance to specialise in handling complex audits, both locally and nationally, while offering substantial room for internal growth and advancement.

We are currently in search of Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountants who possess a strong focus on audit, with at least 50% of their experience dedicated to this area. The ideal candidates will have the potential to evolve into the role of Audit Senior or may already hold such a position.

Distinguished for their exceptional accomplishments, these firms excel in nurturing and developing the skills of their team members. You will enjoy autonomy in managing your own audit portfolios, along with ample opportunities to enhance your professional expertise.

Responsible for:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients in various industries.
  • Conduct risk assessments, plan audit procedures, and execute audits in accordance with regulatory standards and firm policies.
  • Oversee and guide audit teams, providing coaching and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Analyse financial statements, identify areas of improvement and provide valuable recommendations to enhance clients' internal controls and processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance during audits.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and delivering personalised solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior management to develop audit strategies, drive business growth, and identify new opportunities.

Required Attributes and Exposure:

  • Minimum four years of experience in public practice auditing, preferably at a mid to senior level.
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and offer innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in using auditing software.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
