ASW - Social Work Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a ASW - Social Work Officer for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will empower vulnerable adults to maximise their independence and well-being by providing tailored support and collaborating with social worker teams and community partners.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Manage a non-complex caseload, supporting residents to improve their independence and well-being by working closely with community partners.
  • Undertake strengths-based assessments, reviews, and support planning to help residents build resilience and improve their quality of life.
  • Provide practical support to residents and carers, including access to living aids, welfare benefits, and respite care.
  • Liaise with colleagues across the health and social care partnership to gather information and ensure the best outcomes for those accessing services.
  • Complete Continuing Health Care checklists and identify cases that require full assessments.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Direct experience in a social care setting, supporting vulnerable adults.
  • Experience in applying a strengths-based approach to assessments, support planning, and reviews.
  • Experience managing a caseload, particularly non-complex cases.
  • Experience providing practical support to carers and residents, including accessing welfare benefits and living aids.

What's on offer:

Salary: £19+ph

  • may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week
