Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Systems Support Assistant in the Stoke on Trent area.
Job Purpose
- To provide administrative support to the Finance Systems team for the development of processes and systems to support the demands and needs of the organisation in respect of effective financial services.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- To provide clerical support:
- To deliver a high quality, efficient application support function to support Financial Services in delivering the corporate aims and objectives
- To ensure the financial systems and reports are fit for purpose to contribute to the delivery of:
o High quality, efficient financial, accounting and budgeting services
o The compilation, monitoring and reporting of the Council's integrated Medium Term Financial Strategy
o Effective financial and accounting analysis
o The Council's statutory Statement of Accounts in line with professional and statutory requirements
- To contribute towards the formulation, implementation and review of all appropriate service plans
- To contribute towards the formulation, implementation and review of finance and financial systems policy
- To contribute towards the delivery of an effective, high performing, customer focused application support service that is continuously improving and ensure that the agreed service standards are met.
- To promote corporate working and effective team building in order to provide financial information, analysis, support and advice to officers as appropriate in their operational and strategic roles.
Experience
Record of success in providing clerical support to help establish sustainable improvements.
Proven success in developing effective working relationships
Demonstrable experience of utilisation of financial information systems
