As a Company Secretary/EA to the Board, you will play a crucial part in managing the boards workload, enabling them to focus on driving strategic initiatives and contributing to the company's mission.

Client Details

My client, who are based near Wallingford, are looking to recruit a Company Secretary & Executive Assistant to support the board.

They work within the engineering industry, and always aim to give their customer's the best service possible. They pride themselves in their fun and flexible work environment.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Company Secretary & Executive Assistant are to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling sensitive issues
  • Prioritise and communicate commitments, deadlines, and potential conflicts to optimise the boards time
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, screening and managing communication on behalf of the board
  • Draft and edit professional correspondence, emails, and other documents
  • Prepare meeting agendas, collate necessary documents, and ensure timely distribution to participants
  • Attend meetings and follow up on action items to ensure deadlines are met
  • Organise and maintain confidential files, records, and documents in both physical and digital formats
  • Arrange travel and accommodations for the CEO, Executive Directors and Board members.
  • Anticipate and proactively address issues that may impact the boards workflow or schedule

Essentially, you will ensure that the company complies with financial and legal requirements, and maintain high standards of corporate governance. You will also work closely with the Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team as well as provide administrative support to the Board, senior managers and the legal and finance functions.

Profile

The successful Senior Executive Assistant will:

  • Have previous experience as a Company Secretary/PA/EA
  • Strong administration skills
  • Reliable and honest with great communication skills
  • Have ability to use initiative, be proactive and forward thinking
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise accordingly
  • Computer literate
  • Well organised
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to listen and respond appropriately
