Dynamics Developer

Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a new Dynamics Developer to join our IT team at Cambridge Education Group.

The role is on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is Homebased in the United Kingdom.

Reporting to the Dynamics Delivery Lead, the role will be a key part of the Dynamics delivery team.

Your first core responsibility as a Dynamics Developer will be to deliver the changes assigned to them as we seek to make improvements to the Dynamics365 system which we use for our lead-sale system. These changes will be scoped by the teams Product Owner and then prioritised by the team, allocated to a sprint, and then delivered. The changes can be focused on the coreDynamics-365 platform, the plug-ins or integrations that are driven from the platform. It is important that any change delivered has been effectively tested and the role must have a strong focus on managing the quality of their own work.

You will be responsible in resolving production defects assigned to them. Time for this work is scheduled within the sprint plan however the actual allocation of ticket will be performed at the start of the sprint.

Other key responsibilities within this role:

  • Engage as a member of the delivery team in all aspects of the agile delivery cycle including backlog maintenance, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Work on the assigned tickets delivering a high-quality solution. Assess in peer reviews of coding and assisting other members of the team in their work where requested.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gain a more detailed understanding of the requirements were required.
  • Be able to advise on suitable approaches to fulfil the stakeholder's requirements of the platform.
  • Be aware of upcoming features within Dynamics-365 and be able to propose how these could be utilised.
  • Be able to create sales team members apps.
  • Support of the Microsoft Dynamics for Marketing product in relation to how it works with the core Dynamics365 platform.

Key skills and experience we will be looking for:

  • Strong core skills in Dynamics-365 development experience:

o Plugin development.

o Custom workflow activities.

o Client-side JavaScript.

o PowerApps flows.

o Canvas Apps.

  • Highly desirable skills:

o .NET API development.

o Azure Service Bus development.

o Azure Function development.

  • Skills in integrating the Dynamics365 platform into the Microsoft Dynamics for Marketing platform.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both IT and non-IT staff.
  • The education level is less important than an education track record which shows the ability to learn, think

for themselves and drive their own skills forward.

  • Experience in working within a small team.
  • Experience in liaising with non-IT staff to understand their requirements.
  • Development experience in relevant technologies to deliver the overall Dynamics-365 based solutions.
  • Development experience working within Agile teams.
