Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Management Accountant for a reputable, profitable and growing business based in Holmes Chapel. We are looking to recruit a high calibre, experienced and ambitious Management Accountant as a result of continued growth and a recent acquisition.

Within this Management Accountant role you will be responsible for the monthly end-to-end accounts for all businesses within the group including analysis on key financial figures. You will ensure that the accounts are delivered in timely and professional fashion. You will also give key input on the performance of the business, whilst also showing a willingness to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders across the business/group, to drive financial and operational success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Production of monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts and budgets
  • Inter-company balance reconciliation work
  • Act as a key stakeholder within the business/group
  • Completion of group VAT return and other ad hoc HMRC returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Year end reconciliations and audit preparations
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Director to evaluate current systems and streamline processes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong accounting experience and either fully qualified/finalist or working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or QBE)
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to 'dig deeper' into the business's figures
  • Strong IT Skills and Excel knowledge (VLOOK Ups, Pivot Tables, Formulas etc)
  • Knowledge of accounting systems (Sage Payroll and Sage 200 would be an advantage but not essential)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with key stakeholders
  • Highly analytical with the ability to think strategically
