INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR (1-2 DAYS PER WEEK)
Job Title: Finance Director
Hours: 1 - 2 days a week
Hybrid: Flexible
Length of Contract: 6 months (ongoing)
Location: Oxford

Robert Half are working with a pre-revenue business based in Oxford to recruit for an interim Finance Director up to 2 days a week.
The business launched just over a year ago and are looking to appoint a CFO once they have secured their funding - however in the meantime require an interim Finance Director that has the ability to be hands on as well as acting as a trusted advisory and strategic partner.
Key Duties:
- Preparing board report
- Support EMI valuations
- Manage cash flow and financial forecasts
- Improving financial models
- Business partnering with the Project Managers
- Lead on VAT returns, R&D tax credits
- Advisory on making best use of finance incentives for Start Ups / SMEs
- Support cost planning & approvals for bids
- Support development of financial planning models
- Oversee management of Invoices and Payments (working with external accountants)
- Manage intercompany payments in support of projects
- Leading on Audits
Your Profile
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience working within start-up would be advantageous
- Previous experience working with PE/VC-backed businesses
- Strong cashflow management
