Technical Analyst - Datacentre Operative

Working within IT Service this role provides the required level of Technical, Business and Process knowledge to undertake and effect important tasks in their domain of expertise. Tasks will be completed to agreed levels of quality, within stated timescales and with no supervision. Responsibilities will also include troubleshooting and resolution of all issues (incidents or problems) as they arise. You will look for improvement opportunities within the team and its processes/procedures and will be an effective team member who provides support and guidance to peers, junior team members and Business System Staff as required. The role will also require you to contribute to team efficiency through the creation, maintenance and improvement of accurate documentation.

Provides a level of technical knowledge to undertake the troubleshooting and resolution to production incidents or problems independently. Completes tasks to agreed levels of quality, within stated timescales with no supervision. Looks for improvement opportunities within the team and its processes/procedures. An effective team member who provides support and guidance to peers, junior team members, colleagues and various key stakeholders within CBS and external parties.

A 24x7 onsite presence that will be responsible for service monitoring; service assurance; event management and basic user support outside of core hours. To maintain the smooth operation of batch processing on the Society's core applications and monitoring the performance of core computer systems according to business service levels.

About you

You are passionate about ensuring the business delivers a great customer service and experience to its members and incorporate this in your daily work. You will have sharp eye for detail along with a strong focus on quality and accuracy. You will demonstrate ownership in all aspects of your workload. There will be a continuous focus to improve your understanding of Business / IT Process and are intellectually curious; you encourage ideas and challenge.

You will have a flexible approach to ensure Team and Business objectives can be achieved, have good resilience and embrace situations positively.

You will have in depth knowledge of business & system procedures and processes within their area. Disciplined and detailed approach to all areas of work. Demonstrable broad expertise in associated IT / Business processes, understanding wider connected downstream impacts. Experience of using the Microsoft Office products to create and manage documentation, as well as use of ServiceNow as the primary Service Management tool.
