The Role:

As our Production Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the management of your production team, ensuring strong and effective leadership and shift management. Manage, train, and develop the team to operate efficiently enabling the team to deliver to the required quality and Health and Safety standards, demonstrate the company values and deliver production outputs to meet the company targets.

The team leader will also be responsible for reporting against key performance indicators (KPI's) and ensuring their team completes all activities, delivered in accordance with the required GMP standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Contract Details:

  • Working Pattern/Rotation: Saturday & Sunday 6am - 6pm (Day) or 6pm - 6am (Nights), paid breaks included.
  • 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - 6th July 2024 to 5th January 2024
  • Day Shift - £18.47ph
  • Night Shift - £23.58ph

Key responsibilities:

  • To manage the operative team, ensuring standards are continuously improved and maintained through training and development via the PDP process.
  • Ensure training and succession plans are in place to develop and upskill direct reports (team members) in all aspect of production and ensure a deputy team leader(s) is in place.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance working relationships within the team and across the department.
  • Responsible for the performance management of the team via monthly 1:1s and the annual performance management process
  • Manage direct reports in line with formal policies, processes, and procedures
  • Work with Quality department to investigate quality issues when they arise (SQIR's) and support to determine root cause and corrective and preventative actions
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with Good Manufacturing
  • Practice (GMP) standards
  • Ensure high quality and accurate documentation is maintained in line with batch right first-time targets (BRFT)
  • Drive a strong Health and Safety culture within the team and ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Responsible for production outputs, ensuring targets and quality standards are met, and all processes used are compliant, as per the SOP's
  • Ensure quality and efficiency of line changeovers/clean downs in line with schedules

Requirements

We'd love you to have:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership
  • Management and development of production team
  • Experience working in a Production environment, ideally in a GMP regulated site
  • Experience implementing and managing standards of practice
  • Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Office packages)
